Last Tuesday Petaluma said a bitter sweet goodbye to Peter & Bernadette, the original owners of Dempsey’s  (Sonoma County’s oldest brewery!). A celebration with complementary beer and appetizers was held to say the last farewells and welcome new owner Robert at the Hand Over Hootenanny. Peter & Bernadette were proud owners of the thriving restaurant and brewery as well as active community members for 25 years bringing home many awards including Best Burger in a Petaluma’s Peoples Choice and another Peoples Choice Award at Battle of the Brews held in Santa Rosa. Passport to Christmas – The Fabulous Women

The Fabulous Women are hosting a Christmas campaign called, “Passport to Christmas!” The proceeds from this campaign will support the local families affected by the recent fire. Fourteen homes were impacted!


This passport includes 75 plus local merchants, including special services and restaurants. When you make a $20 donation to the fire victims you will receive a passport along with 10 FREE raffle tickets for our Festival of Trees Petaluma event. This passport will allow you to shop locally from December 2nd – through Christmas Day at Petaluma businesses and receive 15% off your bill. This is a wonderful way to support local merchants while helping the families who have suffered an incredible loss due to the fire.

Halloween Trick or Treat Trail

Are you looking for a place to take the kiddos for a fun, safe, community Halloween? Petaluma Downtown is the perfect place for the whole family! Enjoy over 60 participating merchants offering candy to the boys and ghouls between 3:30-5pm. We know Halloween lands on a school night this year and that  you will want your sugar rushed goblin in bed at a reasonable hour, so come and enjoy the festivities before dinner! Download a Trick or Treat Trail  Map on our website the week before Halloween and keep an eye out for the black and orange balloons, day of, at participating shops!
